7. Great Buddha of Thailand
The Great Buddha of Thailand, also known as The Big Buddha of Thailand, Phra Buddha Maha Nawamin, and Mahaminh Sakayamunee Visejchaicharn, is the world’s seventh tallest skyscraper, standing at 302 feet. It is the second-tallest statue in Southeast Asia, having been built in 1997. The statue was built according to the orders of Wat Muang Temple’s first monk head.
Phra Kru Vibul Arjarakhun, the first monk leader of Wat Muang Temple, ordered the statue to be built. The realistic Buddhists contributed funds to the construction of this statue. This statue may be seen from a long distance, bringing the location a lot of attention.
