10. The Playboy Mansion
This 1927 Gothic Tudor Revival castle, which was previously the home of Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy magazine, has six bedrooms, six full baths, a tennis court and swimming pool, a four-bedroom guesthouse, and, of course, the famed grotto.
The mansion was the most expensive residence on the market in the United States when it was advertised for $200 million in 2016. It was created for Arthur J. Letts, Jr., the son of The Broadway department store founder Arthur Letts, by Arthur R. Kelly.
