BIOGRAPHY
Early Life And Career
Taeyeon is a natural vocalist who was born in Jeonju, South Korea, on March 9, 1989. Her older brother and younger sister were her childhood friends. She came to the realization that singing is the only thing at which she is truly gifted early in life. Her father initially had some reservations about her choice of profession, but Taeyeon’s commitment and lovely voice won him over.
Taeyeon soon began her training and joined in the SM Academy, a prestigious school. For three years, she was trained by well-known Korean vocalist Jeong Soon-won (The One).
Taeyeon’s incredible gripping ability made an impression on her trainer during the training phase. So much so that she signed her first contract with SM Entertainment even before completing her training.
In August 2007, she became a member of the internal girl’s group “Girls’ Generation” at SM Entertainment. She then began studying the requirements for making her musical band debut. She found the procedure to be quite taxing, and at one point she even considered giving up. But she persisted, completing the preparation in time for her premiere.
Soon after graduating from Jeonju Art High School in 2008, Taeyeon began her singing career. 2009 saw the publication of “Girls’ Generation” and her first song, “Gee.”
In addition to solo and duet recordings, Taeyeon appeared in many group performances. Her earlier duets with South Korean vocalist “Kangta” make up the majority of her repertoire.
Taeyeon has already established herself as a leader in the field. She advanced a step farther and began capturing the music for numerous television dramas, including “Hong Gil Dong,” “Beethoven Virus,” and “Can You Hear Me,” to mention a few. More so than the plays, every song gained enormous popularity.
Taeyeon also tried her hand at acting and hosting, and she made a mark in those professions as well. Many commentators thought she was superior to her peers who were actors who also sang.
Taeyeon made the decision to stop acting and concentrate only on singing, unaffected by the positive reviews. In April 2012, she established a subgroup called “TTS” alongside Tiffany and Seohyun, who were also members of her group. The gang’s debut song, “Twinkle,” immediately became extremely successful. The subgroup continued its winning streak for the following three years.
Taeyeon’s fashionable wearing habits, which young people adore copying, have given her the reputation of a fashionista. She was even dubbed “Beyoncé of Girls’ Generation” by VOGUE, one of the luxurious lifestyle publications. She was also given a spot on Forbes’ list of the “Top 40 Power Celebrities”.
After a year of pre-recording work, Taeyeon released her solo album titled “I” in 2015. The record quickly gained popularity and sold 119,576 copies. Taeyeon has so far produced a lot of singles and duets, several of which have reached the top of the charts.
