Jeon Wonwoo was born in Changwon, South Korea, on July 17, 1996. He was born and raised in Busan and graduated from Buji High School before enrolling in Seoul School of Performing Arts. Pledis Entertainment spotted Wonwoo, who subsequently accepted a trainee position there in 2011.
Wonwoo debuted in 2015 as a performer with the K-pop group Seventeen. He sings in the group and is the lead rapper. With their original idea of dividing their 13 members into three groups—hip-hop, singing, and performance—Seventeen achieved fame very rapidly.
