The8, also known as Xu Ming Hao (born November 7, 1997), is a Chinese singer who performs with the Kpop group Seventeen under Pledis Entertainment (HYBE Labels).
On May 26, 2015, The8 made their SEVENTEEN debut with the release of the mini-album 17 Carat. Years later, The8 made his solo debut on June 9th, 2019, with the digital single “Dreams Come True.”

Early Life And Career
On November 7, 1997, Xu Minghao, better known by his stage as THE8, was born. He started out as a dancer at the sixth Shanghai World Dance Competition before joining the South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN and working as a coach on the Chinese reality competition “Chao Yin Zhan Ji.” His birthday is today, and we’ve decided to celebrate with him since we’re thrilled!
Xu Minghao was conceived on November 7, 1997, in Anshan, Liaoning, China. At Beijing Contemporary Music Academy, he pursued his interest in modern music. In 2008, he appeared on the Chinese variety program “C.C.T.V. Variety Show.” Later, he made a guest appearance on the Chinese program “Day Day Up.” From April 27 to April 30, 2012, he participated in the sixth Shanghai World Dance Competition. He placed among the top eight.
He debuted on “SEVENTEEN TV” in the latter part of 2014. Minghao debuted as a SEVENTEEN member on May 29, 2015, when they released their first extended play, “17 Carat.” He was awarded a television part in “Real Class – Elementary School” in 2017. His promotional efforts would be delayed due to a waist injury, Pledis Entertainment said on December 12, 2017. Before SEVENTEEN’s special album “Director’s Cut” was released, he resumed his promotional activities.
On the Chinese reality television program “Chao Yin Zhan Ji” (“Chaoyin War Chronicles”) in 2018, Minghao and bandmate Wen Junhui made an appearance. He was one of two dancing instructors on “Youth With You,” a Chinese survival show, in its first season, alongside Jolin Tsai. Minghao’s debut solo track, “Dreams Come True,” was made available on June 9, 2019.
On May 4, 2020, he revealed that his second single, “Falling Down,” will be released on May 8. On April 8, 2021, he would release his third single, “Side by Side.” On April 13, 2021, it was published in Chinese and Korean. On May 4, 2021, he and bandmate Wen Junhui issued a single titled “Mom’s Missed Call.” All profits were given to orphaned orphans in China. The track is a component of the Dandelion Philanthropy Music Project, a fundraising effort for the Chinese Children’s Charity Association.
