Through SM’s Global Audition in Hong Kong in 2015, he was chosen to join SM Entertainment. He debuted on April 5, 2017, as a part of SM’s SMROOKIES pre-debut training team, and the following month, he made an appearance in NCT member Ten’s “Dream In A Dream” music video.
