Kim Min-seok (also known as Xiumin), a South Korean actor and singer, is well known for his stage persona. His most well-known role is as a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band EXO, as well as its sub-units EXO-M and EXO-CBX.

Early Life And Career
He made his EXO and EXO-M debut on April 9, 2012, with the release of the group’s debut mini album, Mama.
EXO-CBX in 2016
With the release of the short album Hey Mama! on October 31, 2016, Xiumin made her debut as a member of the group’s sub-unit EXO-CBX.
Solo debut in 2022
SM Entertainment announced on August 18th, 2022 that Xiumin will release his debut solo album in September. On September 5, it was made known that Xiumin would make his solo debut on September 26 with the release of his first mini album, Brand New.
2023: “Our Spring: Who?” v. SM Entertainment case
Xiumin and Eunha will be releasing a joint track, “Our Spring: Who?” on April 9, according to a teaser video that was posted on April 5.
Through their legal counsel and attorney Lee Jae Hak of the law firm LIN, Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chen revealed on June 1 that they had filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment for unfair long-term contracts and lack of transparency surrounding settlement reports. They noted that as of today, their existing exclusive contracts are terminated. In response to their assertions, SM Entertainment issued a statement.
The three singers’ contracts were partially altered, according to SM Entertainment, on June 19. These performers will stay with the firm and continue to participate in EXO activities, it was announced on June 19.
Xiumin joined the military on May 7, 2019, and is now an active duty soldier. As of November 23, 2020, Xiumin is on his final leave and will be released on December 6 without going back to the base, according to SM Entertainment. The following day, he received his official discharge.
