Exit Polls Show That Most Voters Have At Least Some Faith In The Accuracy Of The Results

According to the first national findings of the exit poll done for CNN and other news networks by Edison Research, roughly 8 in 10 voters in this year’s midterm elections said they were at least somewhat confidence that elections in their state are being handled fairly and accurately.

The majority claimed to be highly confident. Just 2 out of 10 people claimed to be either not very or not at all confident.

But the status of the nation’s democracy also deeply concerned citizens. Fewer than 3 in 10 people indicated that they thought US democracy is at least somewhat secure now, with over 7 in 10 believing that democracy is at least somewhat threatened.

A little over 6 in 10 voters said that Biden had a credible shot at the presidency in 2020, while approximately a third disagreed with the results.
