Early Life And Career
On January 3, 1995, Kim Ji-soo was born in Gunpo, Gyeonggi, South Korea. The members of Jisoo’s family are her parents, older brother, sister, and grandparents. She was born into and raised in a prosperous, established household. Jisoo resided with her parents, siblings, brother, and grandparents before making her stage debut.
The Seoul Performing Arts High School in South Korea is where she finished her elementary education. She participated in taekwondo courses, played basketball, and was a fan of TVXQ when she was younger. She founded the drama club at her school in her eleventh year and gained further experience through auditions.
She enrolled at the Korea National University of Arts after graduating from high school, where she earned her degree. She earned her degree in music. She participated in musical theaters and was quite involved in music and performing during her time in school. She acquired Chinese, Japanese, and English in addition to her native Korean.
She is the group’s senior citizen. Notably, Jisoo co-wrote Blackpink’s lead track, “Lovesick Girls,” for their debut Korean-language studio album, The Album.
Between 2017 and 2018, Jisoo joined Inkigayo as an MC alongside Jin-young of Got7 and Doyoung of NCT. She made her acting debut in 2019 with a brief cameo in the tvN fantasy drama Arthdal Chronicles. On August 18, 2020, YG Entertainment announced Jisoo would co-star with actor Jung Hae-in in the upcoming JTBC drama Snowdrop in her first fixed position as a lead actress.
