1. Finland
South Korea, Japan, and Singapore have all beaten the country to the top spot in terms of educational systems. Much of this success stems from a universal admiration for teachers, who are obliged to hold a master’s degree (their education is sponsored by the state), as well as a pedagogical system that emphasizes experiential learning and equal opportunity over quantitative testing.
Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for the fifth year in a row. While COVID-19 caused an economic downturn in the Nordic country, its 5.5 million citizens remain optimistic about their government and way of life. Finland continues to set the bar high with a total score of 7.821 out of ten, owing to elements such as a high GDP per capita, social support, a long life expectancy, and charity.
