My Mom’s Super Fluffy Mini Protein Pancakes 🥞🤤– I finally got around to editing this reel! I meant to post it two weeks ago, but baby Hunter decided to come early 🤭

These pancakes are soft, fluffy, and packed with protein—perfect for a quick breakfast or a delicious snack!

Ingredients:
	•	1 egg
	•	1 large apple
	•	3 tbsp sweetener (or sugar)
	•	3 tbsp oil
	•	¾ cup milk
	•	1 ¼ cups flour
	•	2 servings of protein powder (I love the collagen-infused Vanilla Whey by onesthealth, code FITQUEEN = 15 % off, linked in my bio) 
	•	2 tsp baking powder
	•	Pinch of salt
	•	½ tsp vanilla extract

Mix the flour with the protein powder & the baking powder. Crack the egg into a bowl, add sweetener, salt, vanilla extract, then mix until light and fluffy. Stir in the oil and milk. Mix in grated apple.

Spray pan, heat it over medium, and pour small circles of batter. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.

Top them with fresh fruit, a drizzle of maple syrup, or your favorite toppings and enjoy.

My Birth Story 👶🏻🩵 - unplanned C- section. I will forever cry watching this 😭 

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share something this personal, but I know how scary an unplanned C-section can be (it definitely was for me) and if my experience helps even one mama feel less afraid, then it’s worth sharing ❤️

Throughout my pregnancy, I constantly heard, “You’re so fit—you’ll push him out in 10 minutes!” While I knew that wasn’t how it worked, I still believed that staying active and doing everything “right” would benefit me during labor.

I trained, ate well, worked with a pelvic floor PT, practiced breathing techniques, and took countless online labor classes—yet, when the moment came, none of it could change what was meant to happen.

At 39 weeks + 3 days I had to be induced due to medical reasons, and from there, things took an unexpected turn. After 10 + hours of labor, my baby started showing signs of distress. My doctor could feel his head, but he was stuck, and his heart rate was dipping. That’s when the call for a C-section was made.

It was scary, because it wasn’t part of my “plan”. Not because I thought vaginal birth was superior, but because I had heard horror stories how difficult the recovery could be. 

But looking back now? I wouldn’t change a thing.

Baby Hunter arrived healthy, and just one week postpartum, I already feel great. I was supposed to stay in the hospital for 3–4 days, but they discharged me after just 1.5 days because of how quickly I was recovering—something I credit to staying active and healthy before & throughout my entire pregnancy. 

I wanted to share this to remind you that birth doesn’t always go as planned, and that’s okay! In the end, he’s here, he’s healthy (his Apgar score was 9 🥳) he is PERFECT and that’s all that matters to me.

I’ve received so many questions about how I’m preparing for birth, so I wanted to share my birth prep routine by my amazing pelvic floor PT, Dr. Meagan thepelvicconfidencedoc

In addition to my weight training and pelvic floor exercises, I added this routine in my third trimester to help open up my pelvis and hips before birth to create space for my baby.

➡️ Perform 10-15 reps of each exercise for 1-2 rounds!

You can also use these movements during labor to help the baby move down through the birth canal—so make sure to SAVE this!

When I thought I had a bump vs. when I actually do 🙈 Baby H is offiacially the size of a 🍉

Lifting has been a huge part of my life for over a decade, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I found out I was pregnant. Would I have the energy? Would my body allow me to keep going?! 

But here I am, still moving, still feeling strong, and it’s been such a blessing. Yes, pregnancy changes everything—your hormones, your body, your routines—but staying active has helped me feel like ME while supporting this incredible journey of growing a little human 👶🏻 

To all the new mamas out there: don’t underestimate what your body is capable of. Listen to it, honor it, and do what feels good for you. Even small, consistent movement can make such a difference—not just physically, but mentally too. You’ve got this!

At this stage of my pregnancy, my stomach is so freakin’ full with this baby that I barely have room for food 🤰🏻so eating enough calories has been tough. I always prioritize eating my protein FIRST to support my baby’s growth and im also really focusing on staying hydrated.

LOWER BOOTY (lower division of the glute max): Focus on vertical hip extension movements that emphasize the lower portion of the glute max. These exercises place the most tension on your glutes in the lengthened position.

UPPER BOOTY (upper division of the glute max): Target this area for that “shelf” appearance at the top of your glutes. These exercises make your glutes work hardest in the shortened position.
