Biography
Early Life And Career
At a young age, Jihyo demonstrated her talent for singing and performing arts. She had participated in a Junior Naver competition as a child and finished as the runner-up.
She was spotted by JYP Entertainment and invited to join their training program due of her incredible talents.
She started training with JYP Entertainment at the age of 8. She put in a lot of effort while still a trainee to get ready for her debut eventually.
She was well known as Boyfriend and Innisfree’s teen line’s faces before making her debut.
She was initially supposed to make her debut alongside Jeongyeon, Sana, and Nayeon, but that didn’t end up happening.
Jihyo later took part in Sixteen, a survival competition hosted by JYP Entertainment and Mnet to create the TWICE girl group.
By winning the competition, she eventually achieved success and joined TWICE.
Then, in October 2015, Jihyo made her maiden debut with the group by releasing the first EP, The Story Begins.

Twice member jihyo has only ever been romantically linked to another K-pop celebrity, Kang Daniel. The couple dated from August 2019 to November 2020, which is more than a year. They were first seen together by the South Korean tabloid Dispatch, and their respective agencies, JYP Entertainment and Konnect Entertainment, later confirmed their connection.
At the time of their relationship, Jihyo was promoting with Twice and Kang Daniel was getting ready for his solo debut. Both of them were quite busy. They apparently split up because of their demanding schedules and the challenges of a long-distance relationship.
